Make sure that you're at the clinic on 01/28/2009!  It starts at 6:30p.  The admission is free, so be there early to ensure that you get a good seat!

Ay, as with anything, you gotta keep your eyes open, especially dealing with the two Five Star Drumshops in Florida (Drums2Go and Resurrection Drums)!  Keep visiting the sites to see if there are any upcoming clinics.  Here's the link: http://www.drums2go.com/about.html (http://www.drums2go.com/about.html)

Ay, you don't need to be sorry, mayne.  I just stated to keep your eyes on the sites to check for upcoming clinics.  Hallandale Beach isn't in my city (compare South Florida to Central Florida), but if there was a good clinic, I'd go to Resurrection Drums to check it out.

They don't sell Novas at Drums2Go.  That's the only place that I shop locally now-a-days...  It looks like you're on your own on that one!   :D

The astetic of having pretty drums is what makes me like this kit.  I have absolutely no idea what the sound like but the sure are purrdy!

I understand what you are saying as far as the sound-to-price ratio of some.
You just have to grow your ears to hear the difference when they are properly tuned.

I personally can attest to the difference in sound. Now some may have an massive price but so do all boutique tools in any arena. In cameras their is the Hasselblad which cost $45-50,000. You may not have ever heard the name but REAL professional photographers have. As one's game is raised so does that need to produce that next level sound or get that sound that is in their head that seemingly no one else has heard (except the instrument designer that God assigned).

Back to drums...
The Premier Gen-X series Maple/Birch sounds way different than a pure Maple or pure Birch from in other pro series. Same with the Mapex Saturn series Maple/Walnut. Pearl Reference. Tama Bubinga/Birch and the list goes on. The key to hearing the difference tends to be exposure and quality tuning.

This has to be one of the most amazing kits I've ever seen. Really now, did you check out the close up of the shells? My goodness.
