Title: Music theory for runs

Does anyone have a music theory chart or any suggestions addressing runs.  This is an area I would like to enhance upon.

kspot,
go to frdd E-books lind on the left hand side of your screen and go to the scales link it will give you the scales in *.pdf format (opens with acrobat reader).
you need to learn your scales in order to truly understand runs and riffs.
runs and riffs are made up of altered scales broken up chords and your imagination has no limit to what you can do. read the post in the organ room (that refers to runs and riffs and you will see some examples. I posted some with the midi file example on my site click here

 and take a listen they are made up of scales and broken chords just altering which notes are struck first and how many times in what pattern
if you have a midi sequencer prog. to load it into you can slow it down to what ever tempo you need to hear each note clearly.

remember do a search on riffs or runs on this site and you should turn up some nice results and posts

This song came from Sister T's site. The question I have is hat does (filler) mean. Does the chord act as a filler? Or, is the chorder saying "Stick a filler in".

Filler is another name for a passing chord.  Fillers are played when there are spaces in between lyrics.  They are used to "fill in" the empty spots so the song or music flows better.
