Title: Youth Choir Songs

my curch is going to have a youth retreat a few months from now but i need 2 get started on these songs for the choir....can anybody give any really really realy simple songs for a choir that ranges from 12 to 17????? thanks in advance.....God Bless

praise the lord I have the perfect songs for you he's able by darwn hobbs it will really get the spirit moving. The other is emmanuel (we worship you)

"You Are Holy" - Lisa McCleadon or Motor City Mass Choir
"Bless The Lord With Me" - CHC Music
"Praise The Lord With Me" - Carlton Pearson (pretty much the same song as "Bless The Lord With Me, but a different version)

"Holy, Holy, Holy" - Alvin Slaughter

"This Is The Day" - Fred Hammond
(You may want to cut out the part that goes "When you look back over all the years that I made it through..." and put something simpler there.  One thing I've notice with Fred Hammond songs is barely anyone I know sings the song all the way through!  Lol!  They sing the part they like and make the that the song.  Ex:  For the song "We're Blessed" the church I attend uses "Blessed, Blessed, Blessed, Blessed", "We're blessed in the city...defeated we are Blessed", and "Late in the midnight hour..." even though there's a bit more to that song)

"I Love You Lord" - ???
"I Love You Lord / and I lift my voice / to worship you oh my soul rejoice
Take joy my King/ in what you hear/ let it be a sweet, sweet sound / in your ear"

"He Reigns" - Kirk Franklin

"Stomp" - Shekinah Glory Ministry (very easy and they should have fun with this!)

"Love" - Kirk Franklin
"Stomp" - Kirk Franklin (They should get a kick out of this one!)

Scratch out "Praise the Lord With Me" and go with "Bless the Lord With Me" because it's much better.

I second the Stomp - Kirk Franklin suggestion

How about Amazing Love - Billy James Foote(dont remember the band name but this is the artist cited from the sheets that i have)

and maybe Grace Flows Down - David Bell, Louie Giglio, Rod Pagaent

and For teens the Casting Crowns stuff is really good. I suggest East to West, Set Me Free, Slow Fade, Prodigal, In Me.

And one last one. Be Still - StorySide B
