KILLER!![/[/glow]b] :(
I felt so bad...I'm driving down the highway and this unstable groundhog couldn't decide whether he wanted to cross the street or not so I'm swerving trying to avoid hitting him and I thought I was safe because he decided to cross the street...at the last minute that brown sucker changed his mind and chose to commit suicide instead :D :(
He ran right into the wheel, got stuck and that was the end of his life story...yuck, I was so freaked out, i almost killed myself by swerving :D
*brings very sad memories about the kitten I killed by accidentally stepping on it :'( ..I'm a murderer :'(
Who cares? I don't. It was obviously his fault. Heck you don't even know what was going on in his life to make him take the plunge like that. He probably came home to find his wife with another groundhog. Or given the current recession he may not have found enough nuts to feed his family and couldn't bear the hungry stares of his children looking at him accusingly.
If i were you i would sleep well tonight. :)

OMG you stepped on a kitten??? :( :o :'( now THAT'S sad. Bump the groundhog. >:(
I've killed 3 animals in my lifetime (unless you count the 10 fish I killed all at once... tragic mistake). Monday night, coming home from this church my pastor had to preach at in the middle of the country (and I mean the DEEEEEEEP deep country), I made eye contact with a possum right before hitting him. I screamed so loud I woke everyone in the car up and put them in a panic. I was no more good after that. I felt so bad.
Then, when we got back to our church, I found out that my pastor (who was driving in front of us) hit him first. So, I didn't really kill him, I helped take him out of his misery. ;D
(Oh and I finally got to see a LIVE armadillo!! I've been seeing dead ones all over Alabama, but had never seen a live one).
Gross and armadillo! yuck they are sooo ugly..and don't they smell?
Yes Rue, I stepped on a kitten by losing my balance :( :'( and mind you I was barefoot..yuck. I sat in total darkness the entire day. The saddest day of my life :'(
I feel this way because I am an animal freak! I love animals so if I hurt or kill one, I'm repenting, asking for forgiveness...
BTW Fenix, you are a nut :D :D one funny dude!
I NEVER swerve out of the way of small animals, anymore. It ain't worth the hassle to my sanity or my vehicle.
Now, deer, on the other hand...... :o :D

Or other drivers.
I once ran over an Opossum, and two separate rabbits the same night within a span of 5-minutes in my car. At first i felt bad, but then I realized that those animals were stupid for running out in front of my ride and my conscience was cleared.
And I can't tell you how many times as a truck driver I've had deer run out in front of me in the middle of the night. Fortunately, I've never hit one of those but I've literally missed a couple by mere inches. If it's up to me to make the choice between taking out Bambi and trying to swerve with a 40,000+lb load. Guess which one I'm gonna do?
Don't feel bad. You should have put him in a bag and had somebody make you a funky-fresh Sunday church hat.
Deer get much respect around here. I've seen people run off in a ditch before they hit a deer, lol. Deer just stand in the road like, "you better go around"... LOL.

That's because deer can jack up a car or SUV. A deer will get MUCH respect from me......
That's it..lol.
People love to hunt them but they will total your vehicle and possibly you too, lol.
I've heard people say they hit a deer and total their vehicle and the deer got up and ran off.
A friend of mine hit a young deer and it tore up the side of her car. She said the deer ran off to
the woods. If she had a gun she would have shot that mug, LOL :D.
....but I'll mow his tail down if it'll prevent an accident with another vehicle. *shrugs*

Yeah, black bears are pretty common in upper Westchester, where I used to live. I've actually seen more of them than deer (back home, I mean). The media used to always say they're not really dangerous, but that doesn't make sense to me. You swerve to avoid one, you end up in the woods, a ditch, or in the path of another car. If you hit one, it'd be like hitting another vehicle and that's pretty dangerous. If you make bodily contact with one, it could probably eat you for snack. That's pretty dangerous. :-\

You talking right BFBT!! Once was carrying a load to York, PA headed up I-83 outta B-More about 2-3 in the morning. Another truck and I was just crusin along pushing it when all of a sudden about 7 or 8 deer come jumping 'cross the median. Well, sad to say only one made it to the other side... first truck hit 'bout two and I mince meat the rest of 'em. One rolled under my rear tandem and snatched my air lines loose which immediately locked up my trailer brakes and I smoked up that interstate like the mosquito man. When the Maryland troopers finally showed up, they said it looked like a slaughter house back up the road.
