Title: Keyboard/bass do they always have the same music?

Well here is my problem i am trying to play amazing grace. Ok and well i got the notes from a website, but i also play the keyboard to find out the notes and well they are differant notes see these are the notes for bass

(f it has a slash it is because it was between frets)

As A bassist, I would first ask you if you know the melody to the song? Second, I would say that if you just played the root notes of the chords to that song on the bass , you woud be all good to go........But other wise from the information you've posted it may appear to look pretty hard to understand the question you are asking, from the view of other people on this site........
