Title: Be Careful of Pride!
Post by: BP on July 05, 2009, 08:25:26 PM
The Devil is a Musician.
You know, there are many M.O.M. that are too arrogant. They dont want to help other Musicians. Some Pastors/M.O.M.s dont want to even give you the Time of Day(unless you have a big Name)  even if you are experienced/advanced.And they Sing Oh,How I Love Jesus! There is One M.O.M. in Central Ohio who leads& sings all the songs and does not want to acknowledge any one else who might have a singing ability.Whats Up With This?[/i][/i]

IMO...if someone is a M.O.M and they're that selfish and prideful they need to step down.  Now only are they hindering the ministry they're showing that they're there for all the wrong reasons.

When my dad (he's the pastor) was setting up the administrative structure of our church, he showed us a picture of a typical organization chart (you've all seen one; the CEO is at the top and the other positions branch out underneath that).  He said that it was an example of how Jesus said that "The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them" (Luke 22:25).  To demonstrate his vision for our church, he turned the org chart upside down, so that the pastor was supporting the ministry leaders, who were supporting the rest of the ministers, who were supporting the lay members.

The leader of the Music Ministry should have a burden to support and nurture the other members and shepherd them in developing their ministry.
