We only sing the chorus part of this song. I came up with these chords. I got the melody notes first. Please help me out. What would you add? We sing this song at a fast upbeat tempo traditional congregational style. I am not walking the bass.
This bass works for now, until I can figure out what bass walk I can use instead of this one. All suggestions are appreciated

One day you gonna learn to start with the bass, LOL. Anyways, what you need to do is get a pattern for you chords. I'm familiar with this song, and here is a basic bass pattern that will help. Try it and let me know how it goes:
1 He's sweet I know,
4 He's sweet I know,
1 dark clouds may rise,
2 stormy winds may
5 blow,
1 I'll tell the world where-
4 ever I go, that
1 I
3 found a
6 Saviour, and
2 He's
5 sweet I
1 know,
5
(repeat)
Remember, most songs (gospel or any other genre) stick to the the (7)-3-6-2-5-1-(4) pattern. There are songs out there that break the mold temporarily, but eventually get back to somewhere in this pattern.
You don't have to play a chord for every word. Most words don't need a chord, just find the main ones and then you will see your pattern. The melody notes give you clues to the chords u need, but the bass solidifies it.
Keep practicing SisterCM, ur doing great! :D

ok, thank you T-Block. This sounds great. I added the bass notes.
How do you play this song?
I am working on identifying the bass. Bare with me. :D
Thanks for the encouragement.
