Hello everybody,
Just wanted to tell you all about book I just finished reading:
Practicing: A Musician's Return to Music by Glenn Kurtz
http://www.amazon.com/Practicing-Musicians-Return-Music-Vintage/dp/0307278751/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1247715933&sr=8-1 (http://www.amazon.com/Practicing-Musicians-Return-Music-Vintage/dp/0307278751/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1247715933&sr=8-1)
It's a secular read, but it touches many interesting aspects of the life of a musician, especially the area of practicing.
If you haven't read it and decide to try it I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Sounds like this guy is gonna step on my toes. Nonetheless, it appears to be an interesting read. Thanks for the heads-up.

Me? Or the book author? ?/?
In case I violated forum etiquette or something I'm sorry! :-[
The book author is a guitarrist and he writes from his perspective as a player of that instrument, but I think there are many things in there that relate to music (and even life) in general.
I'm new to music (bass, three months) but this book has already changed the way I approach my practice sessions. I already passed it to my 16 y.o. sold who is thinking on going to college to study music.

No, not you. :D
I was referring to the author because I don't practice nearly as much as I should.
