There's a song that I heard a LONG time ago, and it's been in our choir repertoire ever since, but I don't know who recorded it or who wrote it.
For the choruses all the choir says is:
Satisfied
Satisfied
Satisfied
Right now my soul is satisfied
The lead sings in between them:
I've got the love of God in my soul
Since the Holy Ghost made me whole
He brought peace to my mind, He gave me joy divine
That's the first chorus and there are more after that, but all the choir sings are those six words.
It's a great song and I really want to add it to my "one rehearsal songs" list, but I don't know where it came from. Can anybody help?
Thank you!
PS - Y'all probably know other songs that are really good for a choir to learn in only one rehearsal. Help out your fellow choir directors by adding them to the "one rehearsal songs" list -- http://www.squidoo.com/one-rehearsal-choir-songs (http://www.squidoo.com/one-rehearsal-choir-songs)

Just to update everybody. I still haven't gotten any information on where this song is from, so I made a living-room recording of it myself and added that to the web page as a free download (if it's free, I'm not cheating anyone out of their royalties, right?)
I still welcome any info that anyone may have. There must be someone else in the world who knew this song!

Thought of the old Andrae Crouch song, but this isn't it...good, though. Thanks for the recording...

MYSTERY SOLVED!
I got an email from the gentleman who wrote this song! The actual title is "My Soul Is Satisfied" and it was written by Rev. Alex Hamilton. So I had to go and update my web pages where I had said, "I have no idea who wrote this."
