I decided that I'd donate a bass to one of the churches I play at this Christmas. Last year I donated an SX short scale jazz bass to my kids' school.
This year I'm donating an SX 5 string to the Shrines Of The Black Madonna in Detroit. I play there on 2nd and 3rd Sundays. I figure I'll use that bass to teach some of the youth there the bassics. Then they'll have something to play on the Sundays that I'm not there. I'll also leave a cord a strap, and a tuner.
I'll probably take it to rehearsal tomorrow to "familiarize it with its surroundings" and then play it and leave it this Sunday, since it's the last Sunday I'll be there this year.
Here she is.......

I am willing to believe that some youngster is going to blessed just because of you donating that bass. I donated a instrument stand once.

Blessings for your giving malthumb,
I also have been contemplating donating some equipment so the church will have some bass amplification when I'm not there.
