Nice :)

According to the video below I've attached, he is playing guitar with the West Angeles Mass Choir.

Check out the video at 5:40 mark.  He has the thumb pick on, and plus the video gives his name ;D

May God continue to bless him :)

:) Both Jonathan Dubose and Eric Halls, in my opinion are top notch guitar players.

Eric Halls just has a rich flavor (I can't explain ?/?) that is different from Jonathan Dubose.

I am not a member of COGIC, and I don't agree with their doctrine of the Godhead, but I must confess they have some of the best shout music and church musicians (Dubose, Halls, etc.) :)

Wow, that West Angeles Mass video is just flat out disturbing, LOL... You won't hear guitar (or a band) playing like that anywhere but in God's house! This video is well worth studying. Plenty here to keep most players busy for a while...

shades of George Benson (one of my favs) goes to church!!!!!the singer could have passed for Judith MacAliister(another good one)  what was up with one of the synths playing the horn lines with a chessy string overlay?other than that-incredible

Eric is cooking with some COGIC Crisco. I wish I had fingers that fast at my age.  ;)

However, let's give some credit to the audio engineer that set him up from the amp to the mixing board. That Strat is EQ'd and mixed just right IMHO. That AE deserves a fist bump.  8)

Happy New Year LGM!!!

yeap...this is what alot of churches do not understand to do.  Instead of mic'ing the amp they wanna do a DI box...I hate that...

Absolutely, the mix is great. The guitar is well mic'd, EQ'd, panned and well positioned in its own space without any masking. Believe me, sound teams at churches aren't the only folks that struggle to produce a mix of this quality. The folks making this video are top notch from the stage to the sound booth. The engineers behind the sound are most likely freelance industry professionals and not the local church A/V team.
