Hello LGM,
The Lord just bless me with a New Fender Jazz. This baby has the new SCN Pickups (Somarium Cobalt Noiseless) and a Badass V Bridge. For those who don't know, I did not use a curse word, that is the real name of the bridge. Check me out. I believe I have finally found the sound i want. That MoFitz, Sharay Reed sound. Whats crazy, is this bass is not active its passive.

gotta love a good jazz. As much as I want to like the fender V's the necks are just not right for me, but those jokers sound RIGHT!

blackw234, I purchase the same bass for myself a few months ago. I really enjoy playing it and I love the way
the neck feels seeing how it's my first 5'er. After hearing your clip, I just might have to upgrade my pickups
to a pair of SCN. I had been thinking about upgrading the stock pickups to some bartolini's(don't know which
one's). I would like to replace the white pickguard for a black one. Anybody know of a website(s) that has a
selection of pickguard's for a fender jazz 5'er? Thanks !

yo black... are you muting that top B-string with your right-hand wrist? while your slapping? slapping for me is the most frustrating thing in the WORLD, because my strings (usually my E and A strings) won't keep quiet!
Keep in mind that i play a really cheap 4-string bass and i'm sort of a beginner... but not a beginner to music.... just to slapping... :-\ ::)
i could use some advice on this... youtube just ain't given me the information i need.
