Ok, so I'm trying to find some songs to play on a CD before church starts for Black History Month and I decided to post what I have so far just in case someone wants to use these songs for their church. Also, it would be cool if everyone could add to this cause I don't have to have this CD done until this coming Sunday and I may want to change up the songs I have. (It's a mix of modern and songs with heavy African and Caribbean influences because my church has people who hail from African as well as Caribbean roots)
"With Long Life" - Israel and New Bread (feat: T-Bone)
"O Se Baba (Nigerian Praise)" - Danniebelle Hall
"Caribbean Medley" - Donnie McClurkin
"Alpha & Omega" - Israel and New Breed
"Not Forgotten" - Israel and New Breed
"Be Like Him" - Kirk Franklin & 1NC
Kirk Franklin & 1NC Be Like Him (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e39qsbIE2JM#)
I'm not sure about these next two songs because they don't sound like something that would be done as a praise and worship/choir song. They sound like songs you'd put in a Black History Month program play or something:
"The Drum (Africa to America)" - Sounds of Blackness
"African Medley: Royal Kingdom/Rise/My Native Land" - Sounds of Blackness
