:) I think in my opinion Ladell because of his pocket. When he keeps pocket he make the song sound so much better than your average drummer. He knows when to roll. He also has an amazing and fast foot.But don't get me wrong , Spanky is out cold. I just heard him on the song by Tyrone "Tye" Trippet, he's my joy. All through the song he kept pocket. But at the end during the shouting part, he ripped it out out of controll,but I have to say LaDell is better.

Ummmm...I think that it may be a different story if you heard both of these drummers live. It seems that most drummers hold back in the studio since the focus of a song (generally) is not the drums but the words. But I'm sure that may be up for argument as welll.

I have heard spanky live at Hezakiah walkers ChurCh....he is offf da hoookkk...I live in Brooklyn Ny and i have 2 admit dat alot more people talk bout spanky den ladell...last time i asked bout ladell 2 a freind of mine who played 4 Sunshine Anderson he told me "DONT EVER MENTION DAT CRACKHEAD AGAIN". Dont get me wrong...i think ladell is nassty hes batter den me i Culd tell u dat rite now..but i am sure dat if u asked another musCian brooklynite da same question im prety sure dey wuld say spanky wit out a doubt.

I think spanky is the better drummer. His pocket is so serious that only the unthinkable would think of things he do on a drum set. don't get me wrong ladell can play. But for anybody who see spanky live would know the difference
