While I agree that they were wrong, this part stood out:

Maybe it's just me, but I have to wonder if this would've made news (or if people would care) if the sites were ESPN or Yahoo! or blogs or things... are we mad because it was porn or because they used taxpayer money to enjoy recreation?   And if the answer is "both," then I return to my first question: would this have made news if the sites the "investigation" uncovered were less morally questionable?
