Title: Grey's Anatomy
Post by: MissMusic04 on May 20, 2010, 08:40:26 PM
Anybody watching?!! OMG! The finale is BANANAS!
Title: Re: Greys Anatomy
Post by: LaylaMonroe on May 20, 2010, 09:08:58 PM
No. I'm going to watch it tomorrow, so I will not be coming back in this thread until I've seen it.  :D

I'm kinda reluctant to watch because I haven't seen any of the season. This is the first season I've missed, and I think that if I watch the finale first, I'm gonna be mad I didn't watch the season.

On another note, the Desperate Housewives finale was so NOT bananas... I was kinda disappointed. It didn't feel like a finale at all. Maybe they need to borrow some of the Greys writers.

Okay, so.... dang, I don't know what to say... okay, lemme say this first:

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

If you plan to watch the finale, and haven't seen it yet, please exit this thread... thanks.

OMG MM04, I can't breathe. I'm crying. I don't even know why... Well, of course I know why, but... I just totally didn't see that coming. Even after hearing all the FB chatter last night, I didn't see it coming. I really can't breathe. Should I stop watching? Is Derek gonna get shot? Wait, don't tell me.

I'm only up to the 20 min mark, I think.... they just did the lockdown.

I haven't watched this season at all, so I'm not up on all the drama. What's the issue with Callie and the blond chick? Is that the woman she was dating? Did they break up?

And what happened with Christina and dude? Why did they break up?

Yeah, the tears will NOT stop here. I AM WARNING YOU!!  I cried like a baby. Still want to cry now....

Anyway, I'll be quiet IRT Derek.

Callie was dating her and they broke up. Reason...IDK. I forgot. LOL. They'll talk more towards the end.

Christina and Owen broke up because he and Teddy were liking eachother.

You have to watch the rest!! Please, Please, Please.

I'm taking a break... lol. I'll try to watch some more in a few minutes.

I think I may have to watch in 10-minute segments. My stomach can't take this...

LOL. The writers need to win some awards for this. I've seen LOTS of finales and not one can top this one. NOT ONE.

What happened to Izzy?? It just dawned on me I haven't seen her. And I assume the Chief got fired for being an alcoholic? And when the heck did he become an alcoholic???
Title: Re: Greys Anatomy
Post by: MissMusic04 on May 21, 2010, 12:05:55 PM
I missed a few episodes, including the one where Izzy supposedly walked away. My mom watches it religiously and said that she wasn't killed off the show but she just walked away at the end of one episode. So she may return later.

Yeah, chief is an alcholic. I guess he always had problems with alcohol and I guess it was interfering with his work.
I LOVE CHIEF!

No. I had to end up dealing with a church issue (which of course, means dealing with church PEOPLE, which of course get on my very last nerve).  :)

I'm going to watch another scene or two now, and then watch the rest at home.

I definitely need something to take my mind off of things.

OMG I so cannot take this.

How many doggone people are going to get shot??? This is crazy!!!! On another note, Bailey just acted her doggone behind off. You hear me??? SHE ACTED HER DOGGONE BEHIND OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished the first episode.

I'm going to see if I can take the second one...

Devastated.

Just plain devastated.

I doubt I'll be watching next season.

*HUGE EXHALE*

That was, hands down, the best season finale of any series... EVER in the whole, entire history of television.

How on earth are they ever gonna top that?

Oh how I wish Mark Cherry would borrow some of their writers.

BEST. FINALE. EVER.

Ok, so I'll probably repeat stuff as I REFUSE to read any post in this thread.

Let me say that I've only watched 20 minutes of it and it's the FINALE. OF. THE. YEAR! Period!!

I was supposed to work from home today, but I went in to do something quick. My intention was to come right back home, but I got to talking, answering my phone, and doing a few things here and there... then I figured, well I may as well watch the show while I'm here.  I watch Desperate Housewives at work from time to time, when I can't get into work mode, or when my brain is fried. But I try not to make it obvious, because I wouldn't want my co-workers or anyone else to think I'm just chillin (because I DO get my work done).

But today....

It was like I wasn't even conscious of where I was... I screamed, gasped, cried, held my head, shouted "NOOOO!!!!" and "OH MY GOODNESS" and "WHAT IN THE WORLD????" so many times, you would've thought I was at home. One co-worker came to ask me to proofread something for him, and I had both hands on either side of my face, with my mouth in the "O" position, and my eyes as big as quarters. I didn't even try to hide my shock or the fact that I was watching a show. I was frozen. I couldn't hide it if I wanted to.

I think I told you earlier, at one point, I actually answered my work phone saying "yes, what???" in such an agitated tone.

That episode made me forget it was "just tv."

It was just awesome.

Oh, we talked earlier about Bailey's EXCELLENT acting job, but you know who else really killed? The young girl who said she was raised on a farm? I think she said she was Reed's best friend?? That girl did an awesome job, and they gave her great lines. Or maybe I'm just relating to her because she reminded me of what I would probably do in that situation. Her shock was just so real and so familiar (not that I've ever been in a situation like that). I just really related to her. And when she was facing the shooter, it was like ME on camera. LOL. I just loved it! So glad I watched.

I just thought of something.

I'm not tryna rain on the Grey's parade... but ummm...

What kinda SWAT team is gonna shoot a terrorist shooter one time in the shoulder, and then let him get walk away? How in the world did that happen?

I remember while watching, I thought it was a little lame for Callie not to take the gun when he held his hand out. It looked like he was trying to surrender, and this chick lost her cool so much that she just put the gauze on top of the gun??? I just chalked it up to her being really nervous and not thinking straight. Which I guess I can understand...

Oh and another thing that was SUPER COOL was the camera angle when the Mr. Clark dragged  Bailey from under the bed. That was so unbelievable. Totally didn't see that coming. I suspected he might hear her gasp or something, but I never expected him to drag her out by her feet. That was good.

Yep, they lost a bit there, as well. I understand not wanting to kill dude, but to allow him to get away was a bit much. I figured the rest would've been folks tryna survive their surgeries.

The BEST thing is the fact that it wrapped up...NO cliffhanger. Well played, GA!!

I had a crack but then I read the thread...you're right.  :-\ :D :D

I will agree that Bailey gets a supporting actress Emmy. Hands down. Her break down concerning the elevators culminating the day's events was KILLER!!! It was Gold, Jerry! GOLD!  :D

The other smart move was killing off all the newer SG employees (from the merger). So, you get all the drama and remove the dead weight all at the same time.  ;) :D

IRT the wrap-up: YES!!! I was so glad. I get the point of cliffhangers, but that doesn't make me hate them any less. I can tolerate a week-to-week cliffhanger, but for a season finale, I just hate it. If you write the show well enough and have the right actors, you don't need to cliff-hang people into watching the next season.

Oh, I also liked how cool Chief was at the end.

And being the LaRue I am, I was kinda hoping for one of those moments where the killer breaks down and the writers make you feel bad for him... I just really felt for him throughout the whole episode, and I wanted the writers to justify my feelings. LOL  :D

1. I would've preferred the crack, thanks.

2. ROFL @ the Seinfeld references. I can hear you saying it, too! LOL!  And yeah, I told MM04 on the phone that I thought Bailey was about to have a nervous breakdown... and then when she faced the windows, I kinda thought she was going to break the window to try to get some help (which would've been a bit more in her character, than to just sit down and watch dude die), but still... that scene stole the whole show.

And bump botha y'all. I am NOT overthetopdramatic. I'm just REAL.  :P :D :D

I won't lie; I felt bad for dude, too. I was reminded of Denzel's character in the movie 'John Q'. I get that dude was hurt and all of that.

Chief (funny how we call him 'Chief' and he ain't :D) was sho' nuff strong in the room with Mr. Clark. Great scene.

The second episode had too many soliloquies for me but STILL FINALE. OF. THE. YEAR!! 8)

Awww man, I'm late. Can't quote on the BB but I read all of your posts.

That part when Clark pulled Bailey from under the bed...wow! When he asked her was she a surgeon, it took her a while to answer and I realized I was holding my breath!

Then when Derek's assistant came and interrupted Derek and Clark...I screamed. I lost it then.

I'll post more when I get home

I only watched it because of the hype that was around it.  I don't think I've ever seen better television!  (I say that like I was around during TV golden era or something.  :D :D)  Unfortunately I was eating pizza and fruit punch while watching this.  :(  :D :D

I had to keep pausing it and walking away from my computer.  My sister had Disney on in the other room so I watched that for a bit (kinda didn't help that much) and then came back...with my pizza and my fruit punch.

How the heck did the shooter get into the operating room?  Did anybody else jump nearly every time the shooter was shown after the first two shootings?  Did anybody jump when the door opened, you thought it was the shooter, and it wasn't?

I was taken aback when he was in the OR. Doc was real cool when he was tellin' Meredith to stay down (I had a feeling the shooter was there but dismissed...then was taken aback when the camera showed him :D)

Yeah he was mad cool. I knew something was wrong but I didn't suspect it was Mr. Clark, I thought something had gone wrong with the surgery and they lost Derek. Putting Mr. Clark in there was an excellent twist.
