Father in the name of Jesus, I ask that you comfort LaRue 1212 and her family. Your word says, "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comfort." Father, I ask that you send a peace into the hearts of the members of her family. In the name of Jesus, I ask these things...Amen.

Thanks, Britt. Thanks, guys.
If you will, please also keep NJ in prayer. I introduced them a couple of years ago, and they developed a very close relationship. So close that of all the hundreds of people in the family and the thousands of people who will attend her services, NJ is on the program and included in the obituary. She was like "another mother" to him, especially since he lost his. She really adopted him as her son, and he adopted her as his "other" mom. They talked on the phone frequently, he came to visit her whenever he could. He's not taking it well.
What's worse is that she died around the same time that NJ lost his own mother a couple of years ago. Oh snap. As a matter of fact, today is the anniversary of his mother's death. :(
Yes, please keep him in prayer. Thanks.

Oh yeah, I meant to add him....

Praying for you too NJ.

Praying for him also.

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry to hear that LaRue/NJ. My prayers are with you.

I forgot you talked to her a few times, LL. She liked you a lot, as you may recall. Thanks for your prayers.

Thanks everyone. If it wasn't for Rue I wouldn't even have known this precious jewel of a woman. There are very few women I consider a "mother" to me and she was definitely one of them.
TO RUE: I will be forever grateful for you giving me my "Georgia mother" and for this and many other things, you'll be special to me. We're gonna make it.
To my mama: If you see this slightly wrinkled face woman, with the sweetest smile and the "done" do, its Mother G. Just throw your arms around her, welcome into the presence of the Lord and tell her "thank you" for taking the helm after you were gone. I miss you dearly...
Psalm 61:2
"From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

Thanks, bruh. Yeah, we'll make it. :) *hugs*
Oh, and I just posted that same scripture in my FB status about a week ago. So appropriate.

Bless you!

Wow, I'm just now seeing this. I'm so sorry, I know Rue and NJ spoke fondly of this staunch apostolic lady. I felt like I knew her a bit just through them. Praying for strength for the entire family.
Wasn't expecting this... Lord, there's just a lot going on right now. I know You are in control, but please help us to be strong and be in Your will...

Thanks, Nessa, Pastor Rob and Rshay. Thanks again to everyone.
I just have to share my small praise report, if I may. :)
So many people have been praying for me and for the family, and I just want to report that James 5:16 is right: the effectual, fervent prayers of the righteous really DO avail much. This family is a very, VERY close family, with Mama being the glue that held everybody together. With her passing, everyone who has called has told us the same thing "y'all stick together now." And I shrugged it off knowing how close we all are (her biological children are especially close-knit). Things almost immediately started getting ugly with little spats and bickering and fussing, and finally Sunday, there was a big, huge blow-up that had all of us screaming, yelling, insulting... we were all upset and on edge. I was just plain stressed out. I was having trouble breathing, my heart has been racing, not getting any sleep, stomach acting up like crazy AND of course, grieving... it's been really rough.
If I don't know anything else, I know that God heard the prayers of those that did pray for us. Yesterday was the most peaceful day we've had thusfar. Everyone apologized and cried and reconciled and hugged and we're working together in harmony like Mama would've wanted.
To God be the glory.
