Summary: Plus sized model, Crystal Renn, noticed one of her pictures were altered to make her look skinnier. While she understands that pictures need to be retouched she doesn't feel that her weight needs to be retouched because that's not her message.
Here are the before and after next to each other:

She looks fat in both of them. She needs to sit down and shut up.

wow, I really need to brush up on my photoshop skills
I could be making a killing if I started editing pics like that for people :)

LOL
Unless she commissioned the photographer, the image is his art work. He can edit it as he pleases.
On another note, this is one of the only things that seems to be harder to do in GIMP.

Yeah, :( I love gimp but sometimes photoshops appears to just do things easier :( I guess it helps when your userbase is so large

Some things at least. Layer manipulation seems easier in GIMP. I actually like it though. By next year, they're going to update the color manipulation functions, and it'll be able to edit raw files better. This will put it on par with Photoshop. There is a version of GIMP called Cinepaint that is used a lot by the motion picture industry.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure the photographer had the rights to do whatever he wanted per his release contract which she agreed to.

I know I'm late, but.... THAT'S a plus-sized model???
She looks my size. :-\ ?/?
And for the record, I can't see the diff between those two pics. Clearly, it's just me. :-\

I disagree and totally don't get why you said that ?/? :-\, but I have to admit I laughed out loud. :D

I only noticed slight differences, like he made her face slightly less jacked-up looking and there is a difference in he smoothed out her lines a little in her figure. But yeah, she didn't look plus-sized to me either.

Yep! The second you hit a double digit dress size you're "plus-sized" in the model world (or so it seems)

They elongated her face and made her waist and thighs skinnier.
I just found a picture that shows the differences much better, but I'll just give the link. I won't post the picture because at the bottom of her shirt/dress/whatever you can see a bit of her underwear. The differences look more obvious, IMO.
