One of the guitarists in the band at one of the churches I play at is the cover story for this week's Metro Times in Detroit. He has quite the history (I never knew!!!). He's played with James Brown, Hank Ballard, and a host of Motown acts. The story details a career changing blow-out he had with Berry Gordy and also how he and Jimi Hendrix became acquainted and influenced each other.

Very interesting article. Didn't read whole thing as it is VERY long. I'll read more of it later.
Question though; is that a recent picture on the cover. If he was playing with Hendrix in 1959, then brother must be in his late 60's or 70's. If the pic is recent I'd like to know his secret cause dude looks good for his age.

I'm pretty sure it's within the past 10 years. The one on the inside with the purple guitar is definitely recent. He had that custom made within the past few years.
