Title: Drum kit setups
Post by: waydrummer on January 26, 2005, 05:37:33 PM
Hey drummers, what kind of set do you prefer to play, fusion 10, 12,14, 18x22 or standard 12, 13, 16, 22?  I can't stand big toms so I like fusion.
My favorite setup is 8, 10, 12, 14,16,18x22 and 13 tom on the left.

I like both sound and feel of a fusion set-up more than the standard sizes. The standard sizes just sound too "rock-and-roll" for me. The fusion sizes seem more versatile and it's easier to get around the set. You can put ur cymbals a little bit lower and the drums a little closer together.

I would prefer the fusion because th floor tom is easier to move around.
And the toms are smaller so you can move faster around the set.

Yeah I think smaller toms are easier to tune and you don't have to put all that muffling, tape, etc.

Definately fushion! I just got a pearl export series fushion set....it's serious. The tom setup is crazy and it's so much more comfortable to play.
