I'm going to assume you have a USB port on your computer. (if not normally their is a special adapter in the box that you can convert a ps/2 to usb)

Just head to your favorite electronic store that sell wireless mice.

and just plug it in.

before you can use it though

there is normally a button on the bottom of the mouse (you might have to use a paper clip to press it) and there should also be a button on the receiver (the part you plugged into the computer). Press the button on the receiver and then press the button on the mouse. This enables the two to get in sync.

You should be good to go now :).

Oh btw while you can have two mice connected at the same time. try not to

funny 13!! I got the mouse, and hooked it up to my I-mac ;but when I switched over to XP-didn't know if I was to search for add hdwre/whatever windows protocol is.How does xp/win "recognize" new stuff?

My old wired mouse fell apart so had to get a new one(dropped old one).I kept getting a request to go online -but since I don't have any virus software for windows(the whole point of going Mac).I haven't used any win stuff except for ME 2000-so to say I'm a little behind the curve .

So ph,since I have the wireless mouse + know it works-do I go to XP add/search for hdwre-device?When I declined the request to go online;where do I go next?

thanks guys

... let microsoft search for the driver itself.

I forget exactly what it says but XP should be able to use the mouse with any specific driver, since it is just a USB mouse even if it is wireless.

however if you do have a disc that came with your mouse use it to install the driver... I'm sorry I can't be more specific  ... I don't have a wireless mouse available :(

You may also be able to download a driver from the mouse manufacturer's website.

found a cheap easy way to do this, maybe help somebody else!I got a HP retractable mobile mouse which is an optical mouse AND requires NO drivers!!!!

Truly plug and play;not heavy duty;for less than $15 pretty easy!!
