Title: He's at it again...
Post by: cordney on April 26, 2011, 01:36:28 PM
Donald Trump doesn't believe our president was smart enough to get into Columbia and Harvard.

Wow, I JUST finished reading that article. Donald Trump is a trip.

I will admit, though, I do find myself thinking about what the country would look like under his command.

I, also, wondered what our country would look like under his command.  He compared running our nation to running a company...I think it might be a lil harder than that.

Donald Trump is such a smart guy that I wonder how he could be handling his run like such an idiot.

He doesn't sound presidential.  He sounds small, petty and immature.

Obama was too dumb to get in...then graduated Magna Cum Laude and was the first Black president of the Harvard Law Review?   ?/?

Is that his argument?

He's doing his best John McCain impersonation.  He's attacking Obama with tasteless jabs.

...and just like in the last election Obama doesn't sink to that level, thus making himself look larger than the silly schoolyard name-calling.

Obama doesn't have to do much.  Just let Trump continue to cut his own legs out from under him.

Oh, did you hear about Trump calling Robert De Niro a dummy?

Trump:

"I've been watching him over the years and I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we're not dealing with Albert Einstein." Stay classy Donald.  Stay classy.  SMH.

I'm thinking it's a publicity ploy to garner ratings for Celebrity Apprentice. It was just reported a few weeks ago that, after his jab at Obama's birth certificate, ratings for the show took a major leap. I'm sure he means what he's saying, but the timing is suspicious.

Harder, yes. But I think the same skills are required.

One thing I think is different is that to achieve Trump's level of success, I don't think you necessarily have to be able to play nicely with all the other neighborhood kids, or have one ounce of concern for your staff, vendors, or the general public. You do if you want to be president, though.

I agree, but I think what he's doing is just being himself. It's possible that his approach is "being myself has earned me a bunch of fans, so why change now?" And you gotta admit, dude has fans from every demographic, some thanks to his show and his many public spats (most notably, the Rosie one).

Personally, I could see myself overlooking his big, annoying mouth if I thought he had the ability to lead the country well. He IS making me mad with the silly birther stuff, and now this Harvard and Columbia stuff, but I'm curious to see where he stands on the issues. I'm sure that's where my love affair will end - before it even begins.

Did you mean World War or Word War?

I figured you meant Word War, but I thought that would be THE BEST typo ever, if you actually meant World.  :-\

And yes, I think too much.  :-[

+1, one thing to consider is the president of the US doesn't make a lot of cash. In fact I'm sure Trump already makes more. Why take the pay cut?

You don't think anyone runs for President for the money do you?   :-\

This.

And it's not technically a pay cut unless you give up your other sources of income to take one. Trump wouldn't be losing a thing.
