Hello. It's YellowChops again. I just wanted to share with you, guys, another YouTube video I just uploaded with a little shout track in Pattern Mode on the Motif XS. I'm showcasing some advance features that are available on the Motif XS & Motif XF.
Let me know what you guys think?

Chops, I have been trying to find a "clap" beat on my XS for some time. Which one were you using? Do you kow of performances with clap beats? I am not as familiar with pattern mode as I could be. Would like to learn more. Great video.

I'm using the clap from the T9 kit. There isn't a clap beat for performance, when I'm playing the performance mode I'm playing sequences that I created manually. If you get started in pattern mode or song mode, you can copy over those sequences into an arpeggio that you can use in Performance mode or Voice mode. It's actually pretty straight forward once you know what you're doing in Song mode and/or Pattern mode.
I would start off with pattern mode first. From their you can trigger off different sections of your song. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me, but if you could help me out by subscribing to my channel if you haven't already, that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

yo YC;could you store this material in a portable format-i.e. USB stick ;and just use the stick (instead of carrying your board ) from XS to XS?
One of the churches I play at has an XS;so rather than carrying my XS-would be a lot easier to just take a memory stick.
Sort of what you can do with an XF flash drive-too bad file types are not interchangeable btwn the XS + XF

i wanna see how you do those guitar tracks. sounds real close to the dude on youtube that does the west coast shout track with the fantom x.

got a link on that apex?

Yellow Chops- 2 questions:
1)in the XS 6 screen shot;it has 5 or 6 "Piano" listed on various tracks. What's going on there?Do you have the piano x5 f or what purpose?
2)I see you overwrote your shout in User Bank 1(crushy jerjog I think(?) Say you wanted different drum parts;in the preloads-if you go thru the SP's 1-5-there are variations (of the drum grooves). If you wanted do do your groove over a drum groove already in the board (for example user Bank A2 SP1-5-would all 5 load?Or would you have to access move EACH SP?

Yes, that is doable. You'll want to backup both XS's to their "All" files. Unless you want the settings to be the same on both of them. Also, make sure that you're running the same Motif XS OS on both Motif XS's.
Hope that helps.

I'm pretty sure he's doing something different. I'm using a couple guitar arpeggios. On my list of videos to upload I plan on doing a tutorial on how I did that. It will probably be more than 1 video though.

Your Questions:
1) Do you mean in the Pattern Mode? If you're talking about in Pattern Mode, those were just different piano ideas I was working on. I'll do that sometimes.
2) I'm not sure I understand your question, but I think you want to know if you can use a different drum arpeggio preset. If that is your question, then it is a "yes".

thanks YC-I'm not sure how to ASK this question lol!http://www.learngospelmusic.com/forums/Smileys/classic/tongue.gif
If you look @ a performance;like the one you overwrote User 1(i.e.Crushy Jerjog) ;you have 5 buttons marked SP.When you push each one of them-you get variations of whatever drum arp(or other arps ) used in the setup(from the factory).
So;again back to CJ;say you wanted to have SP 1 the stock drum arp; SP2 a rock drum arp,SP3 a waltz etc..How would you change +reasign the SP1-5?
thanks!

There is a button assigned to each arpeggio. You can change what arpeggio number is assigned to which arpeggio. If you see the interface it should be clearer than me explaining it.
Let me know if it doesn't make sense. I'll try again. :)
