Title: Please pray for Dad again...
Post by: nessalynn77 on May 23, 2011, 04:07:59 PM
My dad collapsed Sunday in church (this is not the first time, but they've never been able to figure out what's wrong).   This time they ended up in the ER again and they kept him all night.  They tested for blood clots and the EKG came back okay.  They decided that he has calcification in his coronary artery, and is at moderate risk for a heart attack.  Today they are supposed to do more tests, including a stress test and from there we'll know if they will keep him longer.

He just had back surgery a couple of weeks ago.  I'm trying to get home this weekend to see about him.  My boss doesn't seem to really want to let me off on Friday.  Please pray for that, too.

Thanks Rue.  I called my mom again as I posted this, and they had just gotten home.  He's on a heart monitor and has to go see the doctor first thing in the morning.  They saw something in his heart, but they're going to explain it all in the morning.  I think it is something along the lines of an obstruction or blockage?  IDK for sure.  I'll know more tomorrow.

Any update? Hmmm. Just realized I haven't seen you today. I'll text you.

Update/Testimony:

Went home to see my dad this weekend, I had a wonderful time.  It was such a healing/bonding weekend, just a real blessing.  He was out of the hospital and we had him out and about a little, though he gets tired pretty quick.  The angiogram (sp?) is scheduled for Thursday, so I should know more then.  I'm trusting God to work it all out.  Along with the healing/bonding with my parents, I really got to spend some quality time with my friend... I'm just reminded of how thankful and blessed I am to have her in my life.

My friend/sister accompanied me, and we got to minister as a team on Sunday!  That was awesome.  It happened to be women's day, so we just split the time, and spoke on the theme and then did a joint altar call... it really was awesome.
While we were there, though.  My roomate was in a rollover accident in the mountains.  She apparently decided to drive to Oakland even though her tires were bald.  On the way back it was snowing and she went off the road, over the rail, and rolled down an embankment.  God is good, because she wasn't seriously injured.

Another family that used to be at our church but moved to Houston, had a similar incident.  Their daughters were in a bad accident and the older one might be paralyzed.  Please keep the Jones family in prayer.

Snow isn't something you think about Memorial day!

Glad things are progressing!

Will pray for this other family.

Well praise God... the older daughter from the other testimony is already out of the hospital!  The younger one also got out on Monday.  I think they both have a few weeks of recovery, but it sounds like they will be okay.  God is good!  Please pray that this experience helps them to be more serious about God's will for their lives.
