I was visiting Blackvoices.com religious room and someone posted this article.

Overall, I thought the article was interesting. I wonder if her family knew, but just ignored it.....

The article was interesting, but now I'm a little confused....and I'm not trying to start a debate really....but I thought the terms lesbianism/homosexuality referred to actual physical intercourse between the same sex. I know in modern times they've made it a psychological issue, but if you never really act on an attraction, then...I mean, I'm really confused. Can she honestly say she's a lesbian if she's never done the do?

The socially accepted definition is that a homosexual is someone who prefers physical and/or emotional intimacy and/or sexual relations with someone of the same sex. There are virgins who identify as homosexual and there are folks who have never had a same-gender sexual experience who identify as homosexual.
Hopefully that answers your question. :)

It does, thank you ma'am, it's still sorta weird to me lol, the way definitions of things change that is lol.

Well I knew I was heterosexual a long time before I had sex.
So what are you if you're a virgin? 'Undeclared'? lol

I have. So. Many. Jokes.... right there....
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
But yes, good point. Having sex doesn't tell you whether you are homo or hetero.

True, I didn't think about it that way lol

All that's left for her to do now is to announce that she is in a relationship. A few other well known Christian artists have not only come out, but are actively living in a same-sex relationship. One guy even left his wife so that he could "be himself".

You are very right!! IMO. It's the same way with heterosexuality. There are virgins who have never been sexually active, but are hetero. There are also children who ID as homos (although some of them have never had any type of sexual activity)
