This game was on a hair message board...it's interesting. I've never had to make the decisions involved and hope I never really have to.

OMG, I was going to start this thread, myself. I just played it yesterday. Some interesting stuff.
-
I made it through the month with $249 left; AND I was completely honest with all my answers. :)
I, too, hope I never have to make those kinds of decisions.
-
Holy smoke...that was hard. I gotta practice my typing too...I had to work at a factory. :-\
-
I made it throgh the month with under $220.00 left.....ther have been times where I've done worse in real life.
-
^^^ Same here. I've made it through the month in the negative a few times. :-\
Thanks be unto GOD!
-
Interesting, I started, but will have to finish later...I thought I would pass the typing test though...
This reminds me of why I do not want kids until I can afford a good life for them.
-
That was depressing :-\. I made it through with $347.
-
The last time I played I made it through with around $800 cash on hand but I owed a car note and bills, I believe. :-\
Lord, if it be Your will, may I, nor my family, present and future, NEVER have to endure this in real life.
-
I paid all my bills. I didn't give my mom $100 to get her medicine and I didn't pay the $250 to get my heart checked out.
I'm ok with all that, because I would ALWAYS rather have $1 left in my pocket and all my bills paid than have $1000 and cut-off notices in my mailbox. Disconnection, eviction, foreclosure, repossession, and bill collectors scare me to no end. Just the thought of it unnerves me.
But I'm with Jonathan, I pray I never have to experience any of that.

I think a lot of people do not realize that these places will work with you on your payments. A while back my phone bill was overdue and I knew I wouldnt be able to pay it for another week, so I called them and promised to pay next friday. If I didnt call them and let my phone get disconnected then it would have cost me an additional $50 or so to have it turned on and I would have been without a phone for the week. So ignoring your bills does not make sense.
-
I gave my mom the $100 and did the check up. I also bought my son the name brand shoes. I had to ignore one of the bill collectors, though.

I finished and I gave the mom the money as well, and also gave money for my kid to join the gifted program. I also paid all of the bills and took money from the guy to sleep in my Living room. When my child was embarrassed to buy free lunch, I chose the possibility of him starving. I also chose to ask my friends for help, and it opened a FB screen to post the question to my wall. :D
I finished with like 500 left... more than I've ever had leftover in real life
I feel like this was made to make certain people feel bad for poor people :-\

Cause Lord knows we shouldn't feel badly for poor people. :-\

Ironic, much? :D :D :D

Cause Lord knows we shouldn't feel badly for poor people. :-\
I'm poor, but I dont need anybody to feel bad for me :-\
I wonder why this game didnt ask if I wanted to participate in the company's 401k or invest in a mutual fund?

TJ, how'd you end up with money left over??? I didn't get my kid the name brand sneakers, I didn't go out with my friends, or anything. I spent nearly $100 on groceries. And I let the friend sleep on my couch, but still only had $250 left.
Oh wait, you must not have paid your bills? Ok I get it.
@U13, yeah I know they do arrangements but I don't like arrangements. That's how things start to add up and before you know it you have a $700 gas bill. Nah man. I pay mine in full every month, even if that means I have to live off of $20. I'm not knocking arrangements, it's just not for me. I sleep better when my bills are paid in full.

I only spent like $16 on groceries, and I paid all bills except one that I didn't even have enough money for. I didn't pay bus fare and stuff, though, I hitched a ride with a friend.

I just think that if its an emergency then its better to go ahead and ask for an extension rather than incur a ridiculous late fee. Not saying to make it a habit...
-
I agree with that @ U13.
@TJ, ohhhhh I see. Yeah, I'm greedy. I was stockin up on groceries. LOL. By the time I went grocery shopping, I had like $650 so I figured $100 would be good.
Oh another thing... It felt like a slap in the face at the end. I was all happy I made it and had money left over and then that heffa gon say "oh and btw, your rent is due again." Ugh!!!
