I'm sort of impressed and I'm sort of not.
I mean, all that time, energy, resources and whatnot spent on creating a robot that is more advanced than any previous robot, but we've still got people hungry and homeless and a world that seems to be losing compassion for people.
Plus, there's the whole 'Terminator' thing that really freaks me out... :o
I think the world hunger issue can be solved and we still make the robots. Some of the resources sent to starving nations never make it because of greed and power although there are other factors.Yeah, I too see it as two totally separate things. It's like saying why are you spending money on college while there are hungry people in the world?

TBH, I wasn't even thinking about world hunger. I was thinking more along the lines of American hunger... and homelessness, and cancer, and Alzheimers, and schools without proper facilities and supplies, and all sorts of other things...Some naturopaths say Alzheimers comes from having too much aluminum in the body. They also believe cancer can be healed from eating certain foods. As far as American hunger I don't have an answer for that. Although I have wondered if we could supply all our agricultural needs within the states. Maybe more adults could take jobs that teen who don't have to work are doing. Just thinking. Maybe we should do a thread on how to solve our nation's crises.
I mean, of course we can still make robots. People can do whatever they want to do with their money; companies too. What I'm saying isn't quite the same as the folks who complain about spending trillions to do research in space, not realizing that the benefits make it worthwhile.
On second thought, this reminds me of another discussion we once had. I guess there are just two different schools of thought on this.
Either way, it's not my money so my opinion really isn't worth much.

Did you know that it takes more than 10 pounds of grain to produce 1 pound of beef? Too bad we can't just
