Title: Road Trip with No Praise Team

Hi all,

I need your input.  We are preparing for a service in VA and I have no praise team members going.  I have no clue on how this is going to work.  This is my road trip as minister of music/musician.  Any and I mean ANY suggestions...

You could prepare songs that would allow the congregation to be your "praise team". Songs that they are familiar with, call and response, or the songs with simple lyrics, making it easier for them to catch on...

I'm thinking about learning "I call you faithful" by Donnie McClurkin.  What do you think about this line up?

How great is our God
I call you Faithful
Friend of God
I give myself away
Here I am to worship

I will say this, though...for I Call You Faithful...If you're gonna do the "Yeah" part, you might want to do some "directing."  :D

That's a good suggestion. You don't have choir members who just like to sing but are not normal leaders?

I believe we do and prayerfully it will all work out.  I began learning I call you faithful last night and began practicing the yeah part. I feel so much more at ease now that I've got a game plan (Hallelujah).

Does the church you're going to have praise team members that wouldn't mind ministering with you?


Do you (or have you) used tracks?  If so, you don't need no praise team.  :D
