This song rocks out HARD >:(

Man!!
Fred Hammond never fails to bring it! Gibbers, can you post that "Bread of Life" video you posted a while back? I think it was a church band playing it. I can't remember where it is anymore.

It would have been nice to have played this past Sunday but our worship leader is also in charge of the drama department (hey....every church has a drama dept.....officially or otherwise) and he was pretty busy preparing for the Easter play. We probably wouldn't have had time to properly rehearse the song.

The title of the song, reminds me of a Prince song. The music itself, sounds like Tye.I hope we do not play that song.I hate to go to sleep in church :-*Just telling like it is brothers. :-X

Yup! The original Fred Hammond "Celebrate (He Lives)" needed none of this silly treatment. The original was filled with simple guitar goodness...elegant & inspired. This "remix" has nothing to recommend it. ::)
In asking about recent songs that guitarists should have on their radar, I'd recommend listening to a recent Israel Houghton / Tommy Sims song with guest artist Martin Smith of Delirious called "Sing Redemption's Song":

Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, depends on what strikes you. Although Sonar's response was a little extra...
Most of Israel's songs sound the same to me... :-\
