Title: Eric Johnson
Post by: dwest2419 on July 15, 2012, 04:55:21 PM
Anyone ever heard of Eric Johnson? I love his style of music. For he definitely has real taste as a guitar player and this video I heard him talk about melody harmony and rhythm which I never heard before. Now I'm hooked on Jonathan Dubose Jr., Terence Young, and Eric Johnson. wow! :o

I saw EJ live in concert back in the early '90s.
He plays and sounds as good live as he does recorded.
An amazing guitarist and an inspiration of mine, big time.

He is an Austin Texas guitarist who came up with SRV thus is often compared to him. Sort of like Hendrix and Clapton. He was more instrumental rock compared to Stevie Ray's Texas Blues, thus without the vocals is not as well known to the world outside

Did he sell his soul to the Devil at the Cross Roads???  No wait, that was his twin brother Robert!
