...thanks for being an inspiration Marvin. Words cannot express how much drummers including myself have learned from you and how we have been drawn to praise & worship drumming by your annointing to minister on the drum set. My prayers go out to your wife and daughters and the rest of the family. Thanks for the music and memories!

He will always be my favorite drummer. Loved him. May He RIP. Praying for his family.

Grew up listening to Marvin. There was no youtube, just me sitting there watching the pages of life vhs learning!
I'm trying to get some guys on twitter or wherever to place their 12" tom before the 10" in honor of Marvin.

Wow, what a loss. Marvin was such a blessing to gospel music, our craft, and the world. He will really be missed.

R.I.P. Mr. Marvin McQuitty Jr...
You led the way on the Gospel scene with major endorsements (Yamaha), major clinic tours with Yamaha, introducing electronic drum kits on the worship scene (Yamaha marketing), and being a great example of how to steward a gifting.

I'll be on the bandwagon with my 12" in front! I will miss him greatly. I actually had the priviledge of recieving some wisdom from him years ago. Heaven's rhythm section just got a lot tighter! :'(
