Title: HELP I need some preacher chords and shouting chords PLEASE
Post by: bigmichael on March 05, 2005, 08:21:50 AM: I need more instruction on how to back up the preacher when he is preaching. Also, I need to learn a better way to play the shouting music. I can play it, but I could use some more assistance. I'm 16 and I've taught myself to play. So if there's anyone out there whom doesn't mind helping me, please help because I need ALL the help I can get.

And the lord is continually blessing me day after day. I know that sometime along this musical journey you will begin to feel discouraged...just keep on keeping on anyhow. As far as advice on preaching chords. I have found that many times if you just let God lead you, you will find yourself putting together some interesting combinations. But here is one basic progression that you can never fail on in the key of C...

C/CG(Bb)C....(use your sustain pedal when you play this...)...
Also...
E/EGC
F/FAC(Eb)
(Gb)/(Gb)AC(Eb)
G/G(Bb)C(Eb)
...i placed the flats in parentheses...while playing these chords just let the spirit take control and feel free to add notes in or take notes away...another hint is to add more notes to the bass hand as you begin to feel that you can do so....I hope that this helps a little...and be blessed...
