Title: YouTube vids
Post by: ma1ne on April 13, 2013, 11:09:01 PM
Wassup LGM, I'm thinking about making instructional vids on YouTube. I love to teach, but I also want to sharpen myself feel me. I know a lot of cats post vids, but a lot of them just call out notes. Im big on theory, because I believe that if you know what you're doing, it makes it easier to play in other keys. Plus, if you know what to do, you know what not to do, dig? Anyway, if some beginners are having trouble or need advice, let me know. I'm no Cory Henry, but I'll do my best. Be blessed.

I'm very interested!  I'm not necessarily a beginner, but sometimes my playing sounds like it.

Same here and it's super frustrating. By me doing videos, I feel like I'll find stuff on accident then I can share it with everyone. We'll see how it goes lol.

I do videos although I have not done any in the last week or so because of the baby making noise in the background. :D Im working on using a headset mic so I can have both voice and key to block out background noise. I am gospelmusic4life. Im thinking about retraining myself from the beginning and post videos so people can follow me.

I'm pretty sure I'll face the same problems with my 11 month old lol. All I have to work with is an HTC camera lol.

I just watched some of your videos. I especially like the "shout chords" and the "gospel musician's mind". Those are especially helpful for me. Thank you for the videos.
I have a theory that the more variety of styles I study and observe, the sooner I will develop my own personal style.

I'm trying to get back into studying styles. Even trying to learn chords from the other musician at my church back home from the audio. :)
