Next weekend is Dream Cruise weekend in the Detroit area. Over the past several years, GM, Ford, and Chrysler have "unofficially" sponsored some really cool events around this car extravaganza. One year I got to drive a '57 Chevrolet Belair in a "pre-Cruise" parade. Another year we had a parade of Chevrolet Volts (I didn't participate in that, even though my wife has a Volt).
This year Ford is probably gonna do something around the 50th anniversary of the Mustang. GM very well might do something around the introduction of the new Corvette. Here's a picture of me with the 2014 Corvette when it launched at the North American International Auto Show this past January....

Not announcing anything, but stay tuned for a couple "interesting" photo ops I may have during the week.

Here's a picture I had one of the kids take while driving in a Cruise a couple years ago. Where else are you gonna see not one, but TWO classic Batmobiles? There were actually three of them there. The third was too far out of the frame to get in the picture.

For a lot of people, probably. But for me it would be the McLaren MP4-12C

Or the Tesla S

I haven't driven the McLaren yet, but I drove a Tesla S exactly like this one a few weeks ago. A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Did I mention that the Tesla S is an electric car?

I probably couldn't drive a car like those. I'd be too nervous knowing how expensive they are. If anything went wrong, I'd be a slave to the man. ;D

Found a couple pictures of the '57 Chevrolet Bel Air I drove in the 2008 Woodward Dream Cruise

waiting with bated breath for the future uploads

It will be disappointing. I was supposed to drive a 2014 Corvette Stingray. Cannot go into detail, but "something happened" and the planned parade was cancelled. Drove the Volt through the Cruise. One of my kids took some photos, but he's a worse photographer than I am.

:( okay .... I'll just settle for pictures of the rumble bee
