Our choir is bringing this song back and this is my first time playing it. I have the basic notes down but it doesn't sound right without all the runs. If someone could help me with some of those I'd appreciate it. The Carlton Pearson version is very similar to the way we do the chorus.

You said that you needed the runs. It would be difficult to put the runs here(for me) but I do know the simple progression that he is playing.(except that one run is a 5-6-2-5-1) I also think I heard a 1-3-5-6-8-6-5-1.
This is the basic progression.
1-1-3,4-1 By and by, when the morning comes
1-b6,6-2-5 All the Saints------
1-1-4-4sharp (We'll)Tell the story, how we overcome
5-6-2-5-1. (We will)Understand it better by and by. That's basically the whole song, verse and all.

He sqeezes it in on the first by and by sometimes. and I think he squeezed it in on bound together at home once.
