I figured that I'd start a groove thread, since we haven't done one in a while. What is a groove thread? A groove thread is just where everyone adds to the chords posted in the thread. The idea is to work together, not show off. If you're going to post, it is encouraged that you listen to/play what has been posted, so you can get an idea of how the song feels then post. After every 5 posts, the chords will be combined into the another post. Once 30-40 submissions have been made, the song will end. Also, if you can post a clip of it, please do. Here are the rules:
1. You can't post more than 4 chords, in one post. (no more than 4 measures, if chords are held for 4 beats)
2. No more than 16 notes if you're posting a run/arpeggio. (commas separating the notes)
3. The song can't change key more than 2 times. Post the key if it changes.
4. You must post your chords in the basic format (spelled out)
5. Chords must be annotated as C-D-E / F-G-A (dashes separating the notes of the chord and a forward slash separating the hands, left first then right)
6. Try to post the beat your chord or run is played on, so everyone knows how to play it.
7. Beats are annotated as 1, 1e, 1+, 1a, 2, 2e, 2+, 2a, etc. (denoting 16th notes or beats per measure)
8. Don't use #s (sharps) post everything as flats, so it all looks the same (Db instead of C#, Gb instead of F#)

You're suppose to come up with variations of the chorus:

I guess this is a variation...i don't really think like this but I hope it makes sense...i am starting to work on stuff like this now...

I'm kinda lost, at the beginning we started off saying we were going to work some chords together in the key of Db, so I left the last chord as AbEbGb/BbDbGbAb so we could get to the key of Db, but from the last MP3 were in the key of B. All the chords sounded very good; but I thought we were working together to create a song in Db and then maybe modulate to other keys: verse, chorus, bridge, etc., in one key and then modulate to other keys. You have all been a blessing and I've learned alot from the chords you have posted, so it is productive; but I'm just trying to figure out where we are going with the end product on this song? I'm not trying to be negative, I've really enjoyed participating in this so Be Blessed and God Bless! We need to do this more often!

Yea. It "started" in Db, but I probably should've left the key out until more chords were added. Anyway, blame ddw4e and joych for the key change. I figured that after all those changes, the intro should end, so I kept it in Cb. Right now, everyone should post variations of the chorus, no more than 2 to 4 measures.
