Alrighty....I picked up a 4 String Bass this weekend (HammondB3Guy actually sold it to me, small world :) ) and I'm trying to get my fingers to stttrrreeeetttcchhhhh.....  but I cant get rid of that String Buzz..  Any sugguestions???

Try playing closer to the lower fret and work on some strengthening exercises especially for the pinky.

New strings may help also.

It could be one of three things
1 left hand technique- press hard just behind the frett

2 out of tune- if the strings are flat they will be too loose and buzz

3 the neck- if the bass was shipped if could have taken a humidity hit in transport or there may be a difference in humidity between you and the seller.  if this is the case the truss rod will need adjusted by a music shop. This is called a "setup" and will run about $50

lets hope it's something simple.

Sweeet!!!!

I still have a little buzz, but like they said, with some practice, it'll go away.
