I am watching the choir director & choir, which are in the choir loft/stand. Behind the guitar player is a white wall that goes up about 15ft. The choir & director are up there, with the director's back facing the band down in the pit.


U can see it a little better from these angles in this video. Here, the pianist is directing, but in most cases a director is directing from up in the choir stand, so we are watching him or her:
