Hello and welcome to the newest addition of the LGM NBA Thread!!
What a season that we're about to have. At least 6-8 NBA Teams have a legit shot at an NBA title this year and there really isn't a clear cut favorite. I want to know from you all:
1. Finals Matchup
2. Finals Winner
3. MVP
4. Most Surprising Team
5. Most Disappointing Team
Bonus question: Is Cleveland overrated?
-
Until someone de-thrones them, I am still picking San Antonio to come out of the west.
The east is shaky. My first pick would be the bulls, but any team that lebron is on, has a chance. Also, Miami is out to prove that they really didn't need lebron in the first place.
Mvp Winner: Chris Bosh is making a case for himself, Lebron is always a safe bet. Coming out of the west, who knows. Could be Blake Griffin, Could be Steph Curry, could be Dirk Nowitski. I don't know who it would be coming from the Spurs team. Kauai Leonard aint even playing yet. Their team is so stacked, Can you even pick one from their big 3. Kobe is definitely setting himself as the lakers mvp, but they are going to have a tough time being a .500 team. Not sure ( no matter how nice your game is), if you can pick a mvp off a team with a losing record.
Which brings me to most dissappointing team. My vote is going to be lakers. Kobe is going to play hard, but he just don;t have enough to get over the hump. Indiana pacers will be my pick coming out of the east. I think OKC si going to struggle this year as well.
Most surprising team, Imma go with either the Pelicans, or the Suns

I'm rooting for LeBron.

I've got Warriors and Cavs in the finals but I'm beginning to feel a little shaky about Warriors. I'm concerned that they don't have enough of an inside game and a team like Memphis can exploit on that tremendously. If Spurs/Warriors meet I'm taking Warriors in 7 only because of youth but Spurs scare me too.

JR Smith probably out. K Love is probably out. The bulls are looking dangerous coming out of east.

Cleveland is probably still alright. Lebron has gotten further with less in the past.
