If you play keyboard you must have these items:

Quiklok stands are sweet, work like the old reclining lawn furnature you would fold then open to the position you wanted. Extrememly easy and fast setup.

why do you think having that M-audio uno is a must? Because if your talking about converting midi to the computer, I've got something better.
(no disrespect intended)
HOLLA

I think he just ment any type of midi interface. I use a Emagic Unitor
8 . Probably more midi ins and outs then the average person would use.
Noteone :P :P

Thanks for sending that along. I am a total Mac Head who is just getting into pcs-even though I don't have any need for midi-ing my keyboard to computer, yet, I plan to get some notation software that would require me to do that and the USB connection seems to make it really easy...I was never sure how that worked until you sent it!

What midi interface do you use?

Well I use the Behringer B-Control. I think it's the best interface because you can also convert audio too. And since I use firewire I can play real-time. Meaning if I'm playing a stand-alone unit on my computer I don't have that delay from when I play my keyboard and the uno takes too long to send audio. But thats just my personal opinion.

Good points. Next time I go to a music store, I'll check it out.
