Title: Getting paid at church
Post by: jude63 on March 02, 2018, 03:28:42 PM
So I been playing keyboard at a church for over a year and get paid once per month...my choice.
My problem is.... when payday comes they Always pay me except I feel uncomfortable that they will hand me the cheque in front of everyone, they just approach me if Im chatting to people and hand me the white envelope. I need to talk to them so we can do that more privately.
Any thoughts?

If it makes you uncomfortable,  simply tell them. Just say “ I would like it much better if I could pick my check up in the office.  It is a private matter to me”.  Of course, tell them privately. That should not be upsetting to anyone, and would relieve a matter of concern for you.

Thanks for that reply, even though its done in a very friendly way, even in an appreciative way I still dont like it, so I'll talk to them. :)

Problem solved.
