Have you tried the Evans G2 clear? Remo has a great sounding 2ply coated that gives a nice tone, that's what I'm going to try on my next change....

I have some Ebony Pinstripes on the set I play at my school.  I like the way they sound and they definitely have a deep and warm tone to them without an overbearing amount of resonance.  Also, some kid that came to my college used Aquarian Performance II's...I think those are the next heads I'm goin to try.

I've tried the coated studio x's which i though were terrible....way too much of deadened sound for me. I'm currently using Evans G2 now but have also played the Aquarian double thins which are nice too. Evans hydralics aren't bad either if tuned right

I use the remo pinstripe. They have a deep warm sound and quick decay.
