Calvin, who is proficient in a variety of styles, has kept to a largely gospel-oriented musical course, playing with many well-known professional gospel artists. Among the artists and producers he has worked with are: Donald Lawrence and Tri-City, Donnie McClurkin, Dorothy Norwood, Karen Clark-Sheard, John P. Kee, Cedric Thompson, Kevin Bond, Twinkie Clark, Rodney Posey, Rodnie Bryant, Richard Smallwood and Shirley Caesar to name a few.
