Title: Need To Learn & I need your help
Post by: Zilpex on June 20, 2005, 11:21:12 PM
Hello Everyone,
So here's the thing. I am the drummer at my church; my brother in law is the keyboardist. Due to extenuating circumstances, my brother is having a hard time making it to midweek services and leaving the service with no music on thursday evenings. I've always dabbled with the guitar and I can play a couple songs and put a few chords together here and there so I'm not entirely new to the guitar. Let's just say I am beyond the point where my fingertips ache.
So because I hate to see the worship suffer in my church in such a way, I feel that God is calling me to take charge and pick up my guitar and initiate a sort of Acoustic worship session on thursday evenings. I need your help with learning songs be it through you posting here or refering me to sites that have good tabs or chord charts.

I need help with songs that we regularly do at my church.. .Here's a couple songs I need fo' sure...

Here I Am, Lord
Here I am, Lord... Here I am... I give all myself to you... Here I am
Here I am, Lord... Here I am..Let your spirit move through me..Here I am

Lord I Love You
Lord I love you, yes I love you, how I love you, I really Love...repeat
Just for who you are in all of your glory..my heart sings holy holy...
You are everything I need you to be.....You are the great... I AM....

I'll post a few more that I need in a while...  I just really appreciate all your help..

Hey I think this may help you, Im not sure. But go to "looknohands.com" and then you will see the main screen and it will have differnt rooms on there. Click on Advanced Guitar and then it will go to where it shows the whole finger board and then you can choose what your guitar is tuned to (most likely standard tuning) and then you can choose what ever chord or scale you want to see. I hope this will be a helpful source to you.
