I would never buy a double neck, but I can see where one would be useful, especially in live playing.

yea you dont have to switch, and it's showy. but to me the only difference is fretted to a fret less, i can use a stomp box with fret less mimick

Didn't somebody offer a bass that was fretted up to the 12th fret and fretless the rest of the way up the neck?

Sho you right!

I had the same reaction.  I play a Steinberger copy, and sometimes my shoulder gets to hurtin' anyway.  25lbs is too much weight!
