Can any one help me with turns for a basic 1-4-5 progression. I think a simple turn around is.
4-4&1/2(diminished)-5/1-6m
ex. Key C
LH/RH
FC/FACF
F#/CD#F#A
GD/EGC
AE/EAC
Can anyone help me jazz up turn arounds ???

Turnarounds depend on what type of song you're doing, let's say you want to do the 1_6_2_5_1...it depends on your root chord....
LH / RH
EBb / DGC
DAb /
DbG / DbM7(b5)
GbC / E
GD / F
[ Eb_D_C_A_G ] <---SINGLE NOTES
EBb / DGC
that's one version, here's one for 3_6_2_5_1
LH / RH
[ G_Gb_F ] <---SINGLE NOTES
ED / AbM7(b5)
AE / GM7
GbC / Gbdim7
FB / [ Eb_D_C_A_G ]
EBb / DGC
HOPE THESE HELP.

I just have a simple question that maybe you guys could
help me with. I'm not up on all the terminology, so tell me,
What is a turn around? What is it for? Please explain
thanx

Hey keynote..
A turnaround is a progression that you can use to get back to the root (I) chord in a song. like 2-5-1
I have heard some people use turnaround to describe what they do to get back to a particular part in a song like a verse or chorus

Thanks for the explaniation Maestro. You know
how it is when you know what it is but don't know what
to call it- that's me. Once again, I 'precieate it
