Title: House of Prayer Shout Bands
Post by: sixstringpoet on January 20, 2006, 05:20:56 PM
have any of you ever heard of shout bands?  the House of Prayer organization has one in just about all of their churches. these bands are so tight!! they are a mix of gospel ,dixieland and jazz. mostly trombone players. when the saints are praising and dancing the horns and drums are the only instruments playing. Kenny Carr and the Tigers are one of the best and well known bands out there today. check them out and tell me what you think.

peace.

I was one of those boys I play with the King of Harmony  in Washinghton DC. The Tiger, the Angles from charolette, Happyland band from newport  news and the Thurnderbirds from NY. those was the best bands back in the day. I play all the horns in the bands and in the march band as wells. yes The H-O-P do have march bands.
