So I'm just wondering where everyone is from. Maybe if a bunch of us are local to each other we could meet p and share some stuff (seeing as how i'm just beginning i'd try to learn):wink:

OOOPS!!  Somehow I missed this post from a couple weeks ago  :-[ .  Actually, the church I attended no longer exists.  I left Buffalo in the '80s to go to college and only get back to visit family now.  When I do get back, I visit at my mothers church.  I don't recall the complete name, but I think It's Bethel Baptist something.  It's on E. Ferry between Michigan and Jefferson.  Rev. Baines is Pastor.

Gotta ask....Did you know Keith Funderburk at Bennett?

PTL bassics. You play at a church here? I play organ, keyboard mainly but i play bass every now and then. I attend Refuge Temple Church, Pastor W. L. Bonner. I play at my chuch during some night services but currently I play organ at a Cogic church but Im about to give that up.

I got a friend that just moved to Charlotte so I got a place to stay up there. Im still new to the bass but I wouldnt mind learning more. What church you play for up there?

Brooklyn has been known to have some good musicians there. I heard the old bass player Sam is in Charlotte. Dude has a CD out Im going to have to get it but I forget what his last name is.

Awesome, you should come visit sometime :)

My church, Maiden Chapel Baptist Church, is actually about 1hr north of Charlotte.  I'd like to find another church a little closer to Charlotte to play for (at least part time) to gain some more experience since I'm not the only bass player at my home church.

You play keys/organ and bass right?  I'm a drummer/bassist so I'm sure we could find a way to make some kind've "joyful noise" haha :)

What church do you play for down in SC?

Howdydo neighbor? Although I'm on the peninsula, I'm in VB all the time for band rehearsals and my old band was based in VB as well.
