Title: trying to figure out how to play chords

hi everyone, I am new here
I am trying to learn to play the piano. Right now I am taking lessons from a teacher. She is showing me how to play by reading notes. But I also want to pick up some stuff by ear.
My question...on the gospel chords lyrics, when its shown say for instance like this
BD/BbFG ...that's just an example
how would it be played, using two hands
together or one at a time :?:
any information will be appreciated :)

[b You would use BD/ BbFG   B & D  is for the left hand...the slash..divide
the chord. On the right hand side is the Bb F & G you would play together, so you are using both of your hands together when you play the chords. Hope this helps.  :) [/b]
