Who or what inspired you to sing and share your voice with others?
I would say it would be my mother. She would always sing to me when I was little. Then I guess, I took it to church. Using my singing to praise his name just seemed like a great way of using my gift.

Mine was, my whole family has been singing for years locally and professionally and it came bestowed upon me through the bloodline, but I took it to another level by over 17 years of choral and vocal training.I loved to hear my Dad and Aunt's sing like Angels and I always wanted to emulate them. My grandpa. He would sing until I would cry as a child because he really felt it in his spirit. I miss him so much!

When I was a child, I didn't really know the Lord. I knew OF Him, just not personally. Every time I opened my mouth to sing though, I felt this shift in the atmosphere & it scared me. Once I got a little older and wiser, I knew I no longer had to be afraid. My inspiration is He who created all & gave me my voice.

I was inspired to sing because I liked church songs. I was inspired to share my gift when I found out that I had it (tone death at 5, could sing well at 7, didn't know it till I was 10). Honestly, at first when I really started singing, I shared it for attention (I'm the youngest). I pretty much will sing for almost any ear that will listen, even if the only ear is GOD's.

When I was younger, being a 90s kid, Whitney Houston was my vocal idol. Now that I am saved, honestly God is truly the reason why I sing. Now when it comes to who I get inspiration for my singing style, it would have to be Dorinda and Kim. I've always loved Dorinda, but I like Kim more now because over the past 2 yrs or so I've developed that scratchiness that both she and Dorinda have.
